SleepyBeats does not use analytics or advertising trackers. The web app requires an account. The public landing page is available without signing in.

What stays on your device

Your saved mixes, favorites, play history, alarm and award progress are stored in your browser. Sounds you play are cached to reduce downloads. Opening the web app requires an internet connection to verify your session. Your mixes and favorites are also saved to your account. Clearing your browser data for sleepybeats.com removes it.

Your account

Sign in with Apple or Google to keep your mixes and favorite sounds on all your devices. We then store your email address, your name if Apple or Google shares it, your Apple or Google account ID, and the mixes and favorite sounds you save. Apple or Google tells us who you are; we never see your password. We use this only to run your account, and we do not sell it or share it.

Pressing a sign in button sets a session cookie, which keeps you signed in, and a cookie that protects your account from forged requests. Signing in with Apple also sets a cookie for 15 minutes to finish signing in. Signing out removes the session cookie.

You can delete your account in Settings. That deletes everything stored with it. The copy on your device stays until you clear it.

What our server sees

Like any website, our web server logs each request: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the time and the file requested. We use these logs to keep the site running and to block abuse. They are deleted after 14 days.
